Workforce Investment Act (WIA)

Workforce Investment Act
WIA programs help businesses get skilled workers and provide individuals access to training. DEW and 12 Workforce Investment Areas administer the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) program. A board of business owners, state government officials, educators, and citizens guides all WIA-funded programs.
