Claims Information
Federal Employee Unemployment Compensation
Based on wages earned, federal government employees may qualify for unemployment compensation. State law guides how we compute and pay unemployment compensation for federal employees (UCFE). File UCFE claims in your local Workforce Center, being sure to bring proof of employment, separation documents, and wage records. Report any federal employment during the base period when filing.
Ex-Servicemember’s Unemployment Compensation
The Ex-Servicemember’s Unemployment Insurance Program can provide qualifying persons benefits. To qualify, you must have completed your first term of service and be discharged for one of the reasons below:
1. Government convenience
2. Medical disqualification (pregnancy, parenthood, service-incurred injuries or disabilities)
3. Hardship
4. Personality disorder or ineptitude, provided your service lasted for 365 continuous days or more.
Report all military service to your local Workforce office. Bring your social security card, Member 4 copy of your DD-214 Form, and Report of Transfer or Discharge when filing for benefits.
